HAHAHAHAH! The drive home on my birthday. And yes it really was 12.50 am already when they were singing. We should have made more videos. =P.

Watching all of these videos also makes me laugh. =).

In around 20 minutes time, I'll be 19. O_o. I sure feel old now. HAHA.

Anyways thanks for the cupcakes, phone call (all the way from AMEEERICA!) and wishes so far. It isn't my birthday yet but I have received a few wishes (thanks to Facebook =.=). But the main purpose of this post is for me to share a funny story about this blur friend of mine =P.

At around 2pm on the 26th of October...

*Handphone rings*

I walked slowly towards my phone and it says the call is from an Unknown number. It is a lucky coincidence that I was in a good mood and picked up the call. Usually I just ignore strange numbers ok! Here was how the conversation went:

Me: Hello?
LH: Hey guess who!!
Me: Errrr, Liang Hoong? Errrrm, you got the wrong date la. It is only the 26th today.
LH: Whhhhhhaat?
Me: It is only the 27th tomorrow. It is still the 26th over here.
LH: But but... I called home to check. It's 1.30 am and still the 26th of October so it should be the 27th now!
(eh sayang, you're only 13 hours away laaaa).
Me: *burst out laughing*. Well you got it wrong!
LH: Crap, can I put down the phone and call you back tomorrow?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA SHIT THAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING EVER WEI! Even my mum laughed when I told her hahahahahaa. But honestly it is the thought that counts so thanks for the call! =). Sorry if I was a little quiet. I was a lil' too preoccupied with trying to detect when you started talking with an American accent and when you flipped back to Malaysian accent (complete with the lahs somemore!). Damn amusing ok! Teehee.

So pretty right? I haven't have the heart to eat it yet. Too pretty. =P. Sorry for making you rush around like that. =S. If I knew you were so busy I would have stopped you from coming to my house! Thank youuuuu again! =)

My chemistry exam starts on the day after my birthday and that really sucks but awesome friends like you people more than make up for it! =). *muaks*. I'll update again tomorrow I hope. =P. Stay tuned.

Oh before I forget... Happy Deepavali! and noooo, I am not going to wear a saree to celebrate my birthday. Lol.

I swear this is the only year where I get birthday wishes along with happy deepavali wishes and good lucks for my exams. HAHAHAHAA. Yen Ming even said Happy Deepabirthday. O_o. AND OMG MY FRIEND SENT A MEXICAN WAVE HOW DID YOU DO THAT I STILL CAN'T FIND THAT STUPID FUNCTION T_T. Never mind, after exams. =D.

Teehee, I guess you guys can tell that I love birthdays! =).

7 days

Since Sem 2 has ended, I no longer have to write those dreaded reports. But what I still need to do is to study for my finals. T_T.

I noticed something strange though. When I signed in on MSN after an absence of two days, I discovered 113 emails in my inbox, around 40 of them were from Facebook. Sooooo, it seems that more people (uni friends) are online on Facebook, uploading photos and tagging us (ahem CC) as well as playing games (like the brain game omg, wah damn pei to see people surpass my brain score *sniff*). Need to release stress right? =D. No fear people, another two more weeks to freedom! Whee!

This is a big smile for you guys since you guys are missing out on your daily dose of Suh Ming's smiley face. =D.

Haih I don't know what am I rambling about. I just felt the need to type because I used to do it on a daily basis. I think I can feel my fingers becoming fat wei. Heh.

End of Sem 2

Sem 2 has ended for me earlier this week. =(. It has been quite a journey though. Heh.

That pretty much sums up my journey in Sem 2. What a hectic 13 weeks! O_o.

Examination starts in about 10 days. I guess its time to hit the panic buton now.

Walk for a Greener Tomorrow

The reason you don't see me online on MSN anymore is because my exams are coming. It sure isn't cause I blocked you or anything. Lol. Anyways, I went for a 6km walk two days ago and I'll just put photos up here. Too lazy to describe how mad I was from some problems in the morning, and how late the event started etc.

I was actually really pissed. And instead of helping me they were snapping photos. -____-. Kington you have found your match. For the entire day, Shane was snapping photos of me and I did not even realise it. O_o. I'll be day dreaming and suddenly I'll be forced to snap out of it when I hear clicking sounds. -_-.

After completing the walk. =).

Whee I won something! =D =D =D. I wanted to bluff you guys and say that I was like in the top 10 placing or something for the walk (haha actually its not even a competition la) but I know you guys wouldn't believe me cause well, I am the one who would beg you guys not to run up the hills in Mont Kiara because I can't catch up. HEH. I got this prize in a lucky draw, from the guy I was pissed at in the morning. Lol.

They gave Sunway Pyramid privilege cards in our goodie bags! I think you'll be seeing us there more often now.

School of Science ROCKS! I know I always manage to squeeze my way into the middle of any group for photo sessions. =D.

Later we went to ss 2 for Yong Tau Foo. The food there is really nice. Pick me up from my house and I'll bring you guys there ok. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Thank you, Ming Xuan for the tong suis.

This week is my final week for Sem 2 btw. =(. Time sure flies man. Sigh.

Ironic

... is the word when the person you were openly criticizing and cursing at around 7 in the morning, went onstage about two hours later and drew your number to make you eligible for a lucky draw prize. O_o.

It sure was awkward (for me at least) when he congratulated me while I just stared at him, said thanks in a really small voice and smile for the camera...

Chasing My Rainbow

Whenever I tell people that I am studying biotech, one of the most common reactions I would get is :"Wow" (quite frankly I am still not very sure what is so "wow" about biotech), followed by "You'll be migrating or staying in Singapore then.". Well, honestly, I really don't know what I have signed up for. In fact, just the other day, one of my friend, Chuan Ching went to ask one of our biotech professors about career prospects (whee I am not the only one with doubts then), and I'll like to share with you guys what Dr Quah (THE BEST BIOTECH LECTURER SO FAR I SWEAR) he told us.

He started with a joke first, saying that as a student, he himself asked such a question too. He just never imagined that he would be standing in that position today (Wednesday) and answering this particular question. Then, he went on to tell us that he can't really answer this question (you can almost hear a unified groan coming from the students who stayed back after lecture) but redeemed himself by giving this short speech. (not in his exact words but close enough)

"Just follow your heart (me: cheese, I know! haha). You are all now chasing your rainbows, be it a perfect partner, as in wife or husband or companion or a successful career. Studying is boring, with all of the reports and assignments and studying (wooo is he cool or what, he is a grandfather already you know!), but what you're learning now will help you. You may be working in another industry of a entirely discipline but whatever you know learn now is the knowledge gained that will definitely help in the future"

Maybe that is my rainbow. =).

I hope that everyone would find their rainbow eventually.

Birthday Shoutout!

Happy birthday Sammikins! heehee, trust Freddy to come out with such nicknames. Lol. It is quite sad that we can't celebrate together again like we did last year. =(.

I bet nothing beats the birthday celebration last year whereby you were chased down the street by this tall gangly doctor-to-be who ran very slowly cause he was carrying a bucket full of water. *beams*. Really sorry for the late birthday shoutout btw because I was quite busy today. =(. Anyways, hope you had fun today alright? Remember to blog about the celebration over there (actually I saw the photos on Facebook already but I want to read about how you felt so you owe us a long post!)
