Random Facts

- I AM GOING TO AUSTRALIA NEXT YEAR EVERYBODY! Save a space for me in your house I might crash anytime. Teehee.

- I need to learn to cook a proper meal. Chocolates and cakes do not count as a meal.

- Contrary to popular belief, YEN MING AND I ARE NOT JOINED BY THE HIPS. So she won't be going to Australia with me next year, at least for one sem. SO STOP ASKING ME ALREADY! I think I have been answering that same question asked by uni mates (which is quite an impressive sum by itself), college mates, and high school mates. Which is approximately 2349802 times. No kidding.

- I need to learn to cook a proper meal. I'll miss Char Kuey Teow a lot.

- Yen Ming needs to stop appearing offline. Just last night, TWO different people asked me if she was online. How would I know weeeeeeeiii. -_-. Also, I have lost count of the amount of people who asked me about Yen Ming's results yesterday. Huh?!!? SERIOUSLY! Yen Ming we need separation time. HAHAHA. You must come for Sem 2 though. =P.

- I need to learn to cook a proper meal. Diet does not exist in my world since I get hungry every 3 hours or so.

- I want to sing. Wu Ke Qun's songs especially. Melly Woo you can't escape. Who asked you to recommend his songs. =D.

- I am desperately trying to think of ways to get unlimited internet access next year. I'll die without internet. Do you know how many blogs I visit a day? O_o.

- I am flying off on the 13th of February 2009 and there is no need to point out that I am flying off just the day before Valentine's day. It's obvious enough. -_-. I swear everybody thinks the same omg.

- I ran out of random facts. Heh.

Couch Potato

Sorry for the lack of updates. Don't really have the mood to blog when there are so many episodes of Gossip Girl and It Started with a Kiss to watch. =P.

And for the last time, I am not going to play pet society. Think I am a 3 year old kid ah... try to con me... -______-.

Results are coming out tomorrow. I think I want to live in denial and watch more shows. Tata!

Happy Belated Birthday, Jasmine and Mun Keat!

Jasmine's present before we stuck the photos in.

Jasmine's present when it's done. =). Now she can't ever forget us.

I don't think my brain is functioning this holz because I had to choose a picture that doesn't really fit in the frame. I ended up looking like some big floating head. O_o. And I accidentally stretched it when I was editting it. It looks worse in reality lol.

Anyways, it was decided that we'll have a belated birthday celebration for Jasmine and Mun Keat at TGI Friday's in Subang Parade. The crew there were really loud and I think it made Jasmine really shy but it was quite an experience for both of them I would say.

Mun Keat who gave a speech first. Can't stop fidgeting la that boy.

Jasmine gave her speech later. =). Oh yea, Hui Sean said that we're not allowed to bring her to Friday's on her birthday because she will get mad if she's forced to stand up on the chair to give a speech. Heehee.

Deciding on the next course of action. Heh.

Sorry for the lack of photos. I forgot to check my camera battery before I left the house and just when I was about to take the first photo of the night, the battery died. =(.

Because I am feeling very bored now, I'll show you guys something lame.

Sisters. =D =D =D. Get it? I think you guys want to smack me now. =P

Ipoh and Penang : Part 2

Continued...

Day 2: Gurney
In the morning, we left Batu Feringghi and headed for Gurney by taking Rapid Penang. Turns out that their bus system is slightly different from that in KL in the sense that your ticket would not last you the entire day. Rather, you are charged by the distance you travel. For instance, travelling about 0-0.7 km would cost you around RM 1.00 per trip. Once we checked into the hotel, we went around Penang Island (ok FINE, only went to a few places around Komtar) for my Char Kuey Teow by taking Rapid Penang again. From the day we left KL until this day, I kept making a lot of noise and insisting that we have authentic Char Kuey Teow. So I asked around, got the location of the shop which sells the Char Kuey Teow I like, and off we go to the coffee shop in Penang Road to shut me up. Here, I made the BIGGEST mistake ever. I had chendol before my Char Kuey Teow arrived so you know what happened?

I couldn't taste the Char Kuey Teow that I made everyone run around Penang for. T_T. So kiddos, don't ever repeat my mistake ok! Sorry for the lack of photos. Whenever the food comes it'll go right into my mouth. If you still think that I'll slowly take out my camera to take pictures of the food from artistic angles, you're crazy! I love food too much ok!

Later, the guys and girls separated because the guys wanted to visit the kongsis and we didn't. We took the bus back to the hotel ourselves because one guy said we're incapable of doing so. Don't ever challenge girls ok. Hahaha, ok then er when the guys called us to ask us if we want to go back with them (they didn't know we're already safely arrive in the hotel, soaking in the jacuzzi) we didn't hear our phones ring for obvious reasons. To cut a long story short, we have an average of 8 missed calls on each of our phones and it turned out that they were still looking for us in the mall. O_o. Well, at least it proves something. Our mommas don't have to worry whenever we go on a trip with this bunch of boys. =D =D =D.

Too damn lazy to type somemore. I'll show you guys photos.

This is Xiao Zha Bor. But we still love her very much anyway. Cause she was in charge of the trip and whenever we don't know what we're going to do next, we'll shout for SUUUUEEEE! Heh, just kidding. Thanks much for organising the trip! =).

Getting cosy. =D.

Getting cozier. Check out Mun Keat's leg on Khoo. HEEEHEEE. That's Dexson on the couch and Wen Hao facing away from the Khoos. REMEMBER THESE FACES! They are very nice guys. =P. Keep nagging us to keep our handbags away from the traffic to avoid being victims of snaft theft.

There are actually 5 people in the photo. Look closer. =P.

Day 3: Still in Penang, left for Ipoh in the afternoon.

Gurney Hotel was fully booked for that day so we had two options, stay in town centre or go straight to Ipoh. After a long debate (believe me it was really really looooong), Ipoh won because of their yim kok kai. =D

So we said bye to Mun Keat and Dexson at the jetty because they needed to go home earlier.

And we camwhored a lot at the bus stop cause it's boring waiting for the bus. Yen Ming and Sue.

Hui Sean and I.

Wen Hao stoning. He does that a lot.

Camwhoring on the bus. Yen Ming and I. I think I need more sleep then.

Khoo and Wen Hao. Wen Hao has that stoned look again. Lol.

Sue and Hui Sean.

WHO TOOK THIS PICTURE?

We woke up too late for breakfast in Pulau Tikus, so it was decided that we shall have laksa in Air Itam for lunch. And guess what? After a half an hour bus journey, we reached there, then suddenly Sue stood at the road and started pointing and screaming. O_0. You really scared me ok! Anyway, turns out that the famous laksa store was closed. T_____________T. WHY!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we ended up eating the curry mee there, which was awesome by the way. So that sorta made up for the closed laksa store. T_T.

On the way back. You can tell that I just had curry because my lips were red.

Then we board the ferry. Whee! =P.

Who doesn't like to stand there and feel the sea breeze massaging your face? =P.

Yada yada yada, we bought bus tickets and reached Ipoh at around 7pm. Her friend, Kayy, offered to fetch 6 of us in two cars, which was awfully nice of her so thank you! =). Damn, we forgot to take a picture with her. Haih. Anyway, her family brought us for nga choi kai with hor fun. *Yum*. Give me anything to do with kuey teow and I'll eat them until the plate shines. =P. Again, no picture because I was too hungry la heh. We spent the night in Ipoh City hotel where I nearly froze to death in the room.

Day 4: Still in Ipoh

Went for breakfast in Fok San. Great dim sum! Then Kayy brought us for Ipoh white coffee. It kicked ass. Ada OOOOMMMPh! When there's awesome food you just won't see a picture of it here ok! =P. Later we went to collect our yim kok kais. 6 of us went home with 8 chickens. =D. The joke of the day was...

Mum : What did you bring home?
Guy : Kai. (Prostitute).

Teehee.

Posers.

Loyal Yim Kok Kai fans. Ngehehe.

L-R: Wen Hao, Khoo, Hui Sean, Yen Ming, Sue and Me.

Then, we... went home.

Online Quiz

I saw the link to this particular quiz on Cheryl's blog and I have decided to try it myself.

Your view on yourself:

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:

You like to flirt and behave seductively. The opposite sex finds this very attractive, and that's why you'll always have admirers hanging off your arms. But how serious are you about choosing someone to be in a relationship with?

Your views on education

Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular. You need to choose something and go for it to be happy and achieve success.

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:

You are afraid of things that you cannot control. Sometimes you show your anger to cover up how you feel.

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Very interesting I must say. Some are slightly off the mark but definitely worth the try. For your own analysis, visit here.

Here we go... to Penang and Ipoh! : Part 1

On the day we were due to leave, most of us was "awaken" by my friend's idea of a morning call. A SMS with the message : "Morning call..........". I think that'll only work if our SMS alert was a song la, Mun Keat! HAHAHAHA. Then, we all made our way to Pudu and caught the bus on time. Phew.

Playing games on the bus. It was a very looooong journey.

Then we arrived safely obviously (or not you wouldn't be reading this) and we headed for Batu Feringghi, where we stayed in a condominium.

Day 1: Batu Feringghi

When you see the beach for the first time after sitting in the bus for 4-5 hours, you'll look like us too. =P.

Look at the amount of leg hair and you would know who this is. Heehee. Nice shot though.

We then went on to pursue different activities.

Emoing, emo nemo.

Jumping in the sea. O_o.

Having SS moment on the beach. JUST KIDDING HEH.

Riding a horse. Everyone looks awfully happy.

Or just simply lying down and enjoying the gentle lapping of waves around your body. The look of contentment on Wen Hao's face is hillarious.

I didn't want to go down into the sea because the water was dirty so Yen Ming came up and join me for a photo. Damn, the sand prevented me from jumping higher. Lol.

From playing so much in the evening,

we were so tired when night came that we took a rest in the bus stop after walking around in the night market.

Laze around somemore when we reached home. And yesssss, Yen Ming will be a rabbit wherever she goes!

I was bored ok!

Now you guys know not to sleep near me when I am still awake. Hehehehe. Khoo why did you put me in the frame this time!

Wen Hao looking at the map so that we would not get lost around Penang.

Day 2: Batu Feringghi, then Gurney.

The next morning, I woke up and I decided to take emo picture.

Don't you look like that too when you just wake up? I was the flower and Yen Ming and Wen Hao were the leaves. =D.

I just woke up laaaaa so sue me! L-R: Khoo, Hui Sean, Sue, Yen Ming, Wen Hao, Dexson, Mun Keat.

To be continued...

Highlight of my holiday

During our road trip to Penang and Ipoh that lasted 4 days and 3 nights, we stayed at 3 different hotels for every night. Our parents think we're crazy, and at certain times, I agree with them too. =P. But the spontaneity of the whole trip (our exams ended on Thursday and we went on Monday) and the multiple change of plans (suddenly deciding to go to Ipoh when the hotels in Gurney was fully booked) was what made the trip memorable. =).

For me, the highlight of the trip was when they surprised me with my birthday present. =))). And it started off like that...

When I came out of the shower and peeked out of the door to inform the next person that they can have the toilet, my friends laughed. I was slightly irritated because I thought they were laughing at the fact that I haven't combed my hair. Then, when I was keeping my clothes, the doorbell rang and Mun Keat hollered and asked me to open the door because they were having a really exciting round of chor dai di. At this, I positively scowled at him as I walked towards the door. WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR, there was nobody there so I looked down and saw two items of clothing and... my reaction was to turn back and tell my friends : "Ehhh, how come there are two pieces of clothing here?!!?!!".

My friends laughed heartily of course and it still didn't hit me until uhhhh... one minute later. I suspect that I have left my brains in KL hoho. Well at least I gave you guys a good laugh right? Heh. Turns out that Wen Hao and Khoo were assigned to put the clothes on the floor then hide in the corridor and consequently, they got weird stares. MUAHAHAHA. But thanks for the surprise again! I really wasn't expecting anything so that would explain the delayed reaction. Heehee. I'll blog about the trip in my next post. =P.

Random fact: my presents have travelled 292 x 2 km HAHAHAA.

Choices

To my dear friends who are going to Penang with me,

I chose you guys over the Nuffnang session (which would have given me a chance to taste the new "Bowls of Pasta" at Italiannies, get free Madagascar merchandise and a chance to mingle with fellow Nuffnang-ers) so be grateful ok! I hope I won't get blacklisted or something by Nuffnang either HAHA. I am also missing out on knowing new people (go and find new friends for me) and cheese cake!!! Goodness. Haha why do I love you guys so much huh.

This reminds me... Eh Liang Fu Han weren't we supposed to go for such Nuffnang events together?!!! =(.

I think I am starting to be nocturnal again zomg.

Year One in a Nutshell

Now that I am done with Sem 2 exams, that would obviously mean that I am done with Year One too. =S.

Some people say that your first year in University is your honeymoon year and to be honest, I did not feel that way at all. Sure, we had our fun in between lectures and while conducting experiments, but then most of the time, we'll be cooped up at home doing them dreaded reports and quizzes. =(. I apologize for complaining so much about writing reports but I really hate them ok!

Well for today I think I want to blog about other side of Monash from my perspective. The non-academic parts.

First and foremost I'll like to talk about the food. Having spent nearly a year in Taylor's (WHICH IS SURROUNDED BY AMAZING FOOD CHOICES I MUST ADD), I was definitely disappointed when I first went to the cafetaria in Monash. Let's see, there are really few choices for lunch only. Like, zhap fan, chicken rice, yee mee, 1901, nasi lemak, buns and some western options. Sounds decent to some of you guys but if you have to eat there everyday you'll be B.O.R.E.D. (I did say I was spoilt for choices last year right?). Most students (like me) only stick to two stores because the food at other stores will either give you diarrhea or the food is unappetizing and pricey.

Secondly, some girls would need potty lessons. Until today, I still cannot fathom how girls aged 17 and above and can urine all over the floor and it's really D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G. Girls, you're already sitting or squatting when you urinate so ... ... ok nevermind I don't think I want to know. -_-.

Thirdly, just because you're a professor doesn't mean you're smart. One professor actually asked us to consult Mr. Gooogooo if we have any questions. He really meant Google and it just wasn't funny. Period.

By now you'll probably think that I hate Monash but on the contrary, I have learnt to love it. Where else would you find nice people (and I really mean NICE NICE NICE and not bitchy at all) who would send their entire reports over just because you didn't know how to do one tiny part? Also, where else can you find such selfless people who would patiently explain facts to you when you're seriously confused (thanks, Joshua and Yen Ming!), people who compile and filter the quiz questions to form databases THEN mail it to us(thanks Khoo), people who can put a holiday together in two or three days (THANK YOU SUE!!). Of course the list can go on and I am sorry if I missed out anyone of you guys. Everyone has been amazingly friendly and nice and I do feel sad that we would be separating to do different majors now. =(.

Thanks for making my first year worthwhile. =).
