22-03-2009 Part 2: Parliament House

Before I start, I'll like to say that Midge is bloody awesome for reading the newspapers and finding out about the open day for Parliament House and telling me about it. =D. Otherwise we wouldn't have such an awesome time looking at Victorian architecture. =D.

Anyway, we reached there pretty late because we were waiting to get our fortunes told so we literally ran through the Parliament especially towards the end. But being us, we still managed to take LOADS of photos cause well, the architecture is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ok! The Parlimen back in Malaysia can kiss this building's ass. HAHA.

At the beginning of the tour. DON'T ASK WHY AM I HOLDING A MAGAZINE SIGH WHY AM I SO SILLY.

Midge. the genius. ;)

Me, holding the magazine. AGAIN.

The background looks amazing ain't it?

Loads of potraits.

Like, wow.

I have no idea why there is a statue in the middle of nowhere.

The President's chair. We were totally acting like tourists during our trip there.

Even I didn't dare to touch it. LOL. Too many witnesses around me.

I always had this unfathomable fascination for busts.

Terribly posh dining area.

The library.

Another bust. =D

Sigh, amazing isn't it?

When I can afford it I want a shelf like this (filled with books of course) in my house.

There were loads of huge potraits like this in the Parliament.

And emblems like this too.

"When I grow up I wanna be someone important and sit in chairs like this..."

I found this photo particularly funny because I remember telling Midge to wait for a while to give me time to hide my magazine but she snapped away anyway. HAHA.

The end of the tour.

The oldest hotel in Melbourne.

Parliament of Victoria. Checked.

Princess Theatre.

Roy came too late for the open day so he had to settle for taking a picture outside the Parliament House. HAHAHAHA.
Who was it that said that visiting the Parliament would be boring again?
