I do not know when did the idea of going to FRIM came out but I know I was terribly excited to know that we were going to have a picnic there. =D =D =D. Yea call me weird but I love stuff like having picnics and laying down on your back and looking at stars. It's the best way to pass time really.
On the 6th of January 2009, we met up at Mark's house at the ungodly hour of 7am. I came late, but that's another story to tell. =P. We took only a short while to reach FRIM because Kevin and Mark did their homework by using GoogleEarth to find the nearest route there, I kid you not.
Ok lazy to tell you guys grandmother stories already I'll show pictures cause we're amazing camwhores even in the forest and took super duper a lot of pictures!

L-R: Jonathan , Sarah, Laura, Marky and I. We were touching this thousand year old tree stump. Cool eh?
We then got lost trying to find the entrance into the forest. Again, I kid you not. We made one big loop to return to the same spot, then to realised
that we were supposed to walk the other way. Hoho.

We saw flying saucers! =D.

Nah, it was just the biggest bamboo species in the world. We nearly missed it because it was planted like 5 feet away from the tar road.

You're supposed to see a panaromic view of the forest behind us. As to why I was wearing shorts... I really didn't know we were going into a forest. HAHA. Really bad decision. I still have the marks from scratching my mosquitoe bites. Lesson learnt: no matter HOW ITCHY YOUR MOSQUITOE BITES ARE, don't even THINK about scratching it!

We're the coolest. =D. We wish. Lol.

This tree is called the Tarzan tree. Well named indeed. I now regret not taking a picture with it.

You must be wondering why did we pose in front of a rock? It's so common anyway. Well the thing is, it was labelled as "Big Rock"on the map provided. The name gave away a lot but we were thinking since we were already so deep into the forest, why not walk another 5 more minutes to satisfy our curiosity. Much to my chagrin, we couldn't quite tell which was the aforementioned "Big Rock" because there was 2 rocks of roughly the same proportion within 1 metre of each other. HAHAHA. HAHAHA. HAHAHA.

Luckily, on the way out, we saw something really amazing. FINE FINE WE POSED FOR THAT PICTURE ONE OK! It wasn't as candid as you thought it was.

Isn't nature amazing and gorgeous at times? =)

As I said we're amazing camwhores. We look like the Famous Five.

We got out of the forest safely and scrambled to the car for food. We nearly finished the food intended for our picnic later. *shy*.

Second round into the forest, this time, we were heading for the canopy walkway and waterfalls. I looooveeee this picture laaaaaa. =). All you need to do is uh, put a camera case on the floor, place your camera on it, set timer, then click!

Look closely at that I am holding. I am holding a container FULL of sandwiches. So yea, we really did carry all of our picnic stuff up the hill towards the canopy walkway.

On the way up, always remember to take a break and take pictures.

Loads of them.

I did say loads of them right?

It was a long way up, with a lot of "Are we there yet?". But it was definitely worth it.

I was still carying the sandwiches wtf.

Even at this height, Mark could put down the food stuff he was carrying, stretch his leg across (cause you're supposed to keep a distance of 3 metres between each other) and make us pass Kevin's camera to him. O_o.

Kev, when did you take this!

At the end of the bridge...

Then then... we had to go all the way down to the picnic area near the waterfalls. Again, take loadsa pictures!

Time to dig in. At that time, the food tasted extra good.

We love mother nature!

We went to Izzi for food at... 4 pm cause they were too hungry and their crazy 75% discount was still on.
So YESSSSS LAAAAA, I did have a lot of fun that day ok? =). And I went out that night too so I couldn't wake up the next morning. I woke up in the afternoon.
