Because it isn't everyday that you turn 20...

Midge, 2009 would have been so different without you!

Imagine...
...we would not have been cycling in Clayton.

...collect free L'oreal stuff.

...take a picture in front of the Treasury (funny, I go to the city so often but I don't ever go to that side of the city anymore).

... go for a 4 day camp which only cost $90 and served such good food that we really pigged out like mad.

... pose in the airport with your amazing sleeping bag.

... pose in our "private toilet" in University of Tasmania.

... manage to rent a car even though we're all underaged.

... take the tiring hike up to the lookout point to Wineglass Bay.

... have an amazing time at Tasmania with a great bunch of people ;).

... walk all the way down to the beach.

... step foot on one of the world's best beaches.

(We'll interrupt this long list to convey that fact that I have forgiven you for poking my butt - not that I was ever offended in the first place HAHa).

... squeal so much at the sight of a blow hole.

... enjoy the beauty of Binalong Bay.

... pose at the Royal Botanical Garden of Tasmania.

... take more pictures with some random statue near the Boon.

... eat so damn much at a buffet just because it cost $22 each (I still say this is better than Sante no kidding)

... have a drinking session which provided videos that will induce laughter every single time we view it.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIDGE! You're finally 20, and you can now cross things like driving in Tasmania, drinking tequila, getting really high, seeing the 12 Apostles (I can go on but the list is long enough) off your list because you're damn cool and awesome. =D.

P.S. I promise to keep in touch ok!

Monday Blues

Warning: Cranky post ahead.

I swear... EVERY SINGLE TIME I WANT TO NAP, THE GUY UPSTAIRS JUST DECIDES TO PLAY HIS GUITAR WTH!

I believe most of my friends know that a band live directly above me. What you guys probably don't know is that they play the electric guitar. And there are two of them up there, one bass guitarist and one lead guitarist. Last sem, I had to live with listening to them practice "I believe in a thing called love" by the Darkness countless of times. Go and youtube this song. You'll feel my pain.

I really don't know if it's just coincidence or what, but I swear every single time after I have closed my curtains and lay in bed, they just start playing it arrrgh #$@&#@*&$*$. I hate electric guitars with a vengeance now.

And this is why I never feel guilty letting my door slam by accident most of the times. -_-.

Mount Dandenong

Autumn seem like so long ago now. I really liked autumn actually, so melancholic, yet so beautiful. Unfortunately, autumn came at the time when we were buried under assignments and presentations. Le sigh. So this is my only photo album with pretty autumn leaves. T_T.

We went to Mount Dandenong. Since we leave at FREAKING 6AM IN THE MORNING, when we arrived at that place, it was SHROUDED with fog man. For a moment there, I thought I had cataract. O_o.

I put this picture on Facebook and tell people that I went to Japan. Only a few fell for it. -_-.

Damn poser, I know. This is actually someone's front gate. HAHA. HAHA. HAHA.

Another person's garden hoho.

Yup, yet another person's front yard. And Choo looks hillarious here. =D

Heh, if the floor wasn't wet (it was drizzling earlier), I would have lie on the ground and throw leaves around.

These fellas look like they are playing with money.

I think... I need to work on different jumping poses. =(.

Such vivid colours, how not to gush over them?

At the lookout.

We were supposed to be able to see Monash from there.

Unfortunately, we only saw this. So if you ever want to go to Mount Dandenong, go in the afternoon.
More pretty trees. =))).

The tree looks fake doesn't it? But it's all natural colours babeh!

You can get lavenders here too.

The Secret Garden.

I was just in love with the colours. I HAD to take loads of photos with them.

Khoo and Choo.

I think it was some Japanese garden.

The wishing tree. How it works is, you stare through a hole in the tree, and make a wish.

I was asking Choo to shut up I think. -_-. What's so funny!

I wasn't greedy. So it should come true, right!

Heh, I felt like... Goldilocks sitting on papa bear's chair.

Got caught! =O.

Kev needs camwhoring lessons. Desperately.

Look at this photo closely.

Kev didn't move. =O.

The Australian tree.

The guys who are always talking about thermodynamics. -_-.

Waiting for the bus. I have NO idea what was I doing.

*falls off the chair laughing*. So random.

Me likey a lot.

Get me a Canon for my next birthday! =D
FYI, it's already mid winter now. O_o. Yehhhh, I procrastinate a lot.

Playing Hard Makes a Happy Suh Ming

Just got back from Tasmania yesterday and I am dead tired. I even got my results via SMS (apparently you don't get such things in Melbourne Uni?) in Tasmania and well, let's just say that you should play hard and study hard! It'll pay off. =)

Wineglass Bay: voted as one of the best beaches in the world. This particular photo doesn't really do it justice because it was a cloudy day but take my word for it, it was BREATH TAKING. Think white sands, INCREDIBLY CLEAR blue sea and its perfect half moon formation. Sigh.

It would have looked like that should the sun have came out. But ah well, at least we got to walk on the beach!

And Boon must have been a cheerleader back in high school.

Winter Break In Summary

Even though winter break is not over yet, I'll just give you a short pictorial blog post about these past two weeks ok?
Watched the Melbourne Central Clock for the second time.

At Waterfront City.

Miss Lee Sue Ee has safely arrived. And she is... addicted to Tim Tams already (that's partially my fault since I gave her a packet of Tim Tams on the second day of arrival).

Went for a ski trip, and this was the river directly behind our house. Awesome much? And I only look so bulky cause I was wearing a few layers ok (defensive mode).

We even had a fireplace at our house.

Went skiing for the first time, and I was the only one who didn't fall down (low centre of gravity ma, and I am "wired" to do skiing hehehehe). Unfortunately, I did tumble down the hill. So kiddos, never ever attempt to ski down a slope without any lessons.

Sitting in the warmth of the pub while being surrounded by snow on the outside. This should be the way to live man.

I had awesome steak, but I wanted to draw attention to this mutant potato chip. Since their potato chips were hand cut, does that mean that... there actually exist such a BIG potato in this world?!

Tobogganing isn't only for for small kids. However, if you want to play with the small kids, they would build snow ramps which would result in rough landing and cause pain in the gluteus maximus.

Monash Sucks...

... because we only get a 3 week winter break while the rest gets like 4-5 weeks. -__________-

Gathering @ Shar's place/Roy's 21st @ The Nott (14.04.2009)

The day after I got back from camp, Shar had a gathering at her house, which is really nice by the way. And apparently, (according to Ben anyway), you can see Shar's house from Google Earth. O_O. Even though I didn't know where her house was, Ben collected me from Glen Waverly station, then we both took the bus down to her place. Jonathan and Edwina came from the city together and Jonathan couldn't find his way to Shar's place and we had to collect them by foot. Scout my ass. =P.

All of us. =). Feels different when you're hanging out with your high school friends in a group again. HAHA, some people thought that you cease being cousins with someone else after 4 years. If you don't get the joke, it's ok. It is an inside joke. =D.

Too bad we're all too busy with work or our friends here. Throughout the four months that I was here, I have only met up with the DJ group one or two times. Sigh.

Anyway, later that night, Roy had a dinner at the Nott (on normal days, it is just a restaurant) for his 21st birthday. Earlier that morning, he was sky diving. O_O. He even showed us videos of him jumping off the plane. According to him, when you first come out of the plane, you'll just be thrown out of balance. O_O. I was scared even watching the video of him jumping off the plane ok? LOL. And this was the first 21st birthday that I attended and it was interesting to say the least. =P.

For instance, instead of getting a birthday cake, he got 21 shots of fruit juice vodka (Cruiser). This is the "I have to drink all of it in one go?" look.

"Oh, so I'll have to drink that glass of alcohol that was set on fire too?" (It was really hot and tasted burnt apparently).

Since I left early, I missed the part where someone hoisted him on their back and spun him around and around. He later puked. HAHA.

Hmm, I don't even know some of the people in this picture. O_O.

I think Roy looks like Dragon Ball.

Always surrounded by girls. ;)

The Roberts Hall people.

Last day of Camp: The Twelve Apostles

Meet my team mates. =). They are all sooooo incredibly sweet to me la. Until now, I still keep in touch with two of them. =)

Getting ready to jump. My god, we look so funny!

Ok the first wasn't that good!

Our epic shot. I'll remember this forever man. =)

Then we headed to the Twelve Apostles. LIKE FINALLY! It was a bit frustrating being able to hear the waves crashing against the apostles all the way from our campsite (which means that we were very very very close to apostles), but not see it. We were so excited to see it that we pushed lunch back a little (the camp committee actually packed lunch to go to save time).

So close, so close.

We were acting like such tourists. Taking picture for every step.

Getting there...

And this is the funny story of how I wore my pajamas to the Twelve apostles. Well, you see the thing is right, I went at the end of summer/beginning of autumn. Being so close to the coast, the temperature at the campsite was pretty low. That's why you see me wearing jumpers etc in the previous posts. On the night before we were headed to the Twelve Apostles, it was SO cold, that wearing a jumper and using a really thick blanket didn't help much. =(. So when it was time to leave for the Apostles, even though the temperature was starting to increase, I didn't bother changing, just changed my jumper to a jacket. How was I to know that it will be so hot that I couldn't even zip up. -_____-. I still feel a bit stupid for being so lazy. -_____-. So now when I look at the photos of me at the Great Ocean Road, I see me in my pajamas and a jacket. -____-.

So gorgeous right?

The sea was sooo blue! In my favourite shade of blue!

In reality, there weren't exactly 12 apostles. A few collapsed. If I come back in like 20 years time, I wonder how many apostles will be left standing! O_O.

This is only one side, mind you!

Cause we like the colour of the ocean!

The other side.

We waited really long for this corner! But it was worth the wait.

Taking photos from every possible angle. LOL.

Group shots. It was such a glorious sunny day! Just goes to show how erratic Melbournian weather can be.

There were a lot of group shots which similar because they all came from different cameras. O_O.

The Twelve Apostles: Checked! =)
