The 10 Cent Post

The other day when I was at Ikea, I made a few amazing purchases.

6 x forks, 6 x spoons and 6 x knives = $ 0.10.

1 x plastic cup = $ 0.10.

1 x plastic bowl = $ 0.10

1 x plastic bowl = $ 0.10.

1 x bowl of goodies = $ 0.10. HAHA ok I am only joking about this one but for the rest, I assure you that the price I paid for them were as stated.

Moral of the story: When you see a coin on the ground, even if it's only 10 measly cents, take it. You'll never know what you can get with it! ;)

Midnight Masquerade Ball

This post is loooooooong overdue but I still want to write about it because the balls here are mad.

Firstly, the ball was held at mid autumn = very cold, but girls still wear the shortest dresses ever and stay outside in the wind without any jacket or scarf. Even I fell to peer pressure and left my jacket behind (but mostly cause it was too bulky and the hall was going to be heated).

Secondly, we went there in buses. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT, BUSES! Imagine everyone dressed to the nines, standing on the pavement, waiting to board the bus. Crazy or what! If that wasn't absurd enough, since it was a masquerade ball, some people thought it would be funny to blow photos of their friend's faces to actual size, print them out, and wear their friend's face as their mask (actually that happens every event, but I really did not expect them to wear that to a masquerade ball!). One guy even wore this insanely big hat that was so shiny that he reminded me of a walking disco ball (if you want me to explain the type of hat he was wearing, think of those Jamacaian jelly fishes in Shark Tales).

After waiting in the cold for ages and enduring the bumpy bus ride (we did take photos in the bus but I would not put them up because we all look horrible in it. heh).

Free flow of alcohol. Since we're such good kids, we obviously did not finish our portion and had our portions taken away by people from other tables.

Victoria and I.

They only served a 3 course meal. Since they spaced out the serving time, I kinda lost my appetite towards the end of the night so that was ok. Amazing how the Chinese can rack up the appetite for a 10 course meal eh?

The girls.

The girls plus Riorn since he wanted to join us.

Not all of us came in masks. So we were just stealing each other's masks to camwhore.

Jacinda, Victoria, Shyna and me.

My neighbour, Sue Anne and I.

They served the dishes alternately.

I got this instead. Yay!

I forgot to mention, even before the foods were served, most people are already high on alcohol and they were DOMINATING the dance floor. Apparently, this girl was so into it that she had a nip slip. O_O.

My neighbour and I. He's from UK.

Another neighbour. I did have a few glasses of alcohol. Heh.

Some Farrer dude. Btw, we were MADE to wear that ugly green wristband so that they can identify us. First, the bus ride and this wrist band. How more unglam can it get!

Patrick! Who was kind enough to get a mask for me just the day before the ball. =)

Jacinda, Shyna and Patrick.

I stole someone else's mask since it matched my dress better. =P.

Stairway 8!

Another one of my neighbours. Campbell can really sing and kick ass in laser tag man. =P.

Dathan, who has really groovy dance moves.

I had this. Such sinful and tasty stuff!

Mine was better I reckon.

At the end of the night, some girls were so drunk that ONE PARTICULARLY OVERWEIGHT GIRL STUMBLED ACROSS THE ROAD TO CATCH THE BUS AND TROD ON MY TOE. ARRRGH. That gave me a fine bruise. -_-. One girl even dropped like a fly outside the hotel and gave all of us a scare. She was just too wasted.

Quite an experience I'd say. Not sure if I want to do it again though.

Awesome Week 5

Betty Crocker is really nice. I finished it the day after I got it.
Thanks, guys! I love you guys too! =)
If Midge didn't have church, and I wasn't hungry enough to get Subway and miss the first tram, we would never have been late enough to bump into this man who were giving away his friend's tickets away because they couldn't make it. Being able to sit in the premium box and actually see tackles upfront (only when they are at our side of the stadium, is truly an experience I'll never forget! So thanks again, nice man, for making our week! =D
Angel : "Ok, go study, Suh Ming. 23% mid sem is NEXT WEEK."
Devil : "But you have lasertag later"
Me : "Ok, an hour or two won't hurt, RIGHT?!"
BYE.

Busy Bee

I have SOOOOOO many photos to upload but I haven't really got the time to sit down and resize them then upload them here so that shows how busy I am eh? HAHA.

It's already the end of August, there are still sooooo many other things to doooooooo.

I still want a proper picture at this place dammit. Boon's camera suck. The location shall not be revealed because *ahem* let's just say that I am not entirely sure if we were trespassing this area. Hoho, I still can't really decide if the flowers are real though. We touched it then we ran out again. Teehee.

Hope to cross another thing off my list this weekend: Footie!

Crystal Ball

Sometimes, having friends from a different age group can offer you a glimpse of your future... Meeting this couple at Ikea who were ready to make the big plunge in life really got me thinking: where will I be in 5 years time?

High school seems like such a long time ago now. You see people who progress forward, and those who just simply fell back. I guess what's important is to move with the flow. After all, time is merciless, it really waits for no men.

Did you know, that I am 34 weeks of uni away from graduation?

Scary.

Spring's Coming!

Winter is nearly over. On certain days, I am just so tempted to take out my shorts and skirts but I was just too lazy to bother (my days all start at 8-9am ok, no time to ransack my cupboard).

Can you see the cherry blossoms! And of course, Jimmy and Zen-Xern playing frisbee outside my room.

Cheri.

Kevin.

I have no idea why, but everyone seems to play frisbee here. EVEN I PLAY OK! Haha! I just didn't join them on that day because I wanted to finish watching 17 again laaa.

I have a 3 day weekend this week! I will bum around.

I am STRESSED now

Winter break was awesome really. I had nothing to worry about and I was having so much fun going for ski trips and road tripping in Tasmania. However, STUPID MONASH, only gave us 3 weeks so it's back to reality for me.

Week 4 is already approaching and I'll be having a 10% test tomorrow. The workload for this semester is definitely much heavier than Sem 1. In fact, I have 26 contact hours this semester, of which 14 hours were for pracs. And since I have 2 chem units this semester, that equates to 2 reports a week. However, I shall not complain because my workload will NEVER EVER be heavier than those my fellow comrades back in Malaysia have to face.

A very carefree me in Tasmania. (omg Boon Hong why are you always in the good photos!)

Glutton

Over here, I just keep eating.

And eating.

And eating.

And eating.

And eating.

And eating.

Is it any wonder that I am now like that? T_T.
