Fields of Gold

It was supposed to be spring last month but due to global warming, it still felt like winter. -_-. But now, every where is so pretty!!!

Ok this photo really doesn't do it justice. Just imagine the entire field filled with small yellow flowers like the ones below ok!

It's EVERYWHERE SERIOUSLY! By the pavement, by the field, by any empty land. =)

Even though it's Spring, it still gets pretty cold on certain days la. So you'll see people wearing jackets with shorts or something. So now Spring's my favourite season (cause can wear skirt again). Seriously you guys have no idea how fed up some of us were with wearing jeans only everyday for the past 4 months. T.T

<3 Sue for bringing this over!

Reason #1 for loving Clayton campus. Free ice cream! This is a really unglam shot of everyone but I like it cause it's so candid. And it really does show how mad the weather in Melbourne can be. Sunny yet insanely windy = very high UV and you get sunburnt without realising it because it's so cold.

When I told my brother that I got to try Ben and Jerry's, he said : "So? We have, Paddlepop, Mat Kool, Nestle, Walls!". -.-

Reason #2 for loving Clayton campus. They had this pizza session for all of the chemistry students as a way to thank us for being "cooperative in the lab". LOL. They even gave out prizes for the best students for each chemistry unit. So motivating! BTW, the lecturers here really take the effort to know the names of everyone that is in their lab. As if that would ever happen in Sunway. Pffft. They do not allow us to call them Dr *insert name*. They'll say "Just call me *insert name eg Mike*.

This Xiang Ting was so engrossed in her pizza that she didn't hear her name being called out at all. HAHAHA.

Nah, this is how my lab looks like, Mum!

Sze Min looks so happy.

Aussie pizza, which is essentially just, ham, cheese and an egg on top. LOL. I think this is the only food that is truly Aussie (that I can think of right now anyway).

Camwhoring with my camera. Tsk tsk.

On the very few occasions that we dress up, we science students can clean up pretty well eh? Thanks for the lovely time, everybody! <3

Welcome to Fatty Land

Mooncake Festival in a foreign land. Mooncakes, chocolate cake and a good old game of Taboo. =)

We went to Mart 130 today! Corn fritters with grilled bacon and some sauce.

Grilled bacon with poached eggs and avocado sauce.

Salmon.

Yea, damn I look like a fat china doll now. O_O.

Later that night, dark chocolate mud cake at Vanilla @ Oakleigh (yea you can actually get pretty awesome food there!). Wow, this shot turned out pretty nice!

Large fruit tart. The crust and the cheese was ultra yummy!

So much garden salad that I won't have any trouble in the toilet at all man. =D.

Okay, I shall lose weight when I get back to Malaysia!

A Post Filled With Nearly Forgotten Photos

3 weeks before finals. Sien. Since Sammi asked why I never updated in so long, I shall show you guys awesome photos!

Tiramisu Cake. FOR FREE. YOU KNOW, I have been to Sofia so many times but this was the very first time I got a free cake (ok, actually the 7 of us got that one slice la but better than nothing right). My friend said that it's because they were with me. -_-. Anyways, I highly recommend going to the first original Sofia at Frankston! Their service is awesome possum! ;). Who knows, you may get a cake like we did!

The most mutated strawberry ever!!! Kinda look like those sports finger doesn't it!

Melbourne Uni's Residential Colleges are too damn kick ass. I kept half expecting people in robes to come out man. Now I am too embarassed to put up photos of MONASH Residential.

I went to watch footy: St Kilda vs North Melbourne. Since St Kilda was the top team at that time, I thought I should support them. BUT, they went on to lose. I was deeply upset. When I told my Aussie friend about it, he laughed because apparently St Kilda only lost a couple games that entire season and I was actually at one of the few mathces that they lost. Sigh. The irony. St Kilda lost the finals anyway.

You know in those spy shows, like during mission briefing, they have those like touch screen programs? You click on one item and it pops up on the table. I SAW THAT AT EUREKA SKYDECK! Ok damn jakun. We were like little kids playing with it. Touch, then the thing floats out. Then, close it, open another one. HAHA.

Looks like Melbourne was being invaded by aliens eh?

I look like such a tourist here. And yes I know. I have gained weight. Sigh

Having breakfast at The Boyz 4 Brekkie at Mornington.

Hahahaha, Cheri!!!!
Spring break was so fun! Driving along the Peninsula and stopping by beaches. Do you see Cheri's beanie on me?

I have never seen any other group of people who are as happy as us to be stuck at the dead end of a maze.

Pretty lavender. It smelled great too!

Isn't this the coolest hut!

The rest missed the sunset because they wanted to check out if there were steak at Sofia. Tsk tsk.

Toilet at Frankston. O_o.

An exclusive glimpse into Cheryl's notes. =D

Thanks, Sue Anne!
